Why Choose 1 to 1 Swimming Lessons for Children?

You may be wondering why private children swimming lessons are better than group sessions, especially when you have more than one child to cater for. The simple answer is that it allows your child to benefit from 1 to 1 attention so that they can progress faster and develop a strong swimming technique from the very start. You will often find that in group swimming lessons your child doesn’t progress as quickly because they don’t have the full attention of the instructor all the time.

Choosing 1 to 1 swimming lessons is also a great solution for children who aren’t at the same level as their peers and need encouragement to get started or training to take their skills further. Children who have a fear of the water will benefit from 1 to 1 lessons as the instructor will go at an appropriate pace to ensure they are able to feel comfortable and confident. Having private swimming lessons ultimately means that your children will enjoy complete bespoke support to help them excel.

In addition, we offer a highly sought-after semi-private lesson with a 2:1 ratio, specifically designed for two children and one instructor. This option is particularly popular when the children are friends, during their initial lesson, on a complimentary trial, or after an assessment shows that they are at a similar swimming stage and possess comparable skills with the swimming skills of the parent.

When you choose us for your children, you can be certain that our swimming programmes will help them to excel in the water. We offer a seven-stage swimming curriculum and work hard to teach and embed each skill before they are able to progress to the next level.

When your child first starts swimming with us, we will fully assess their abilities in line with our staged curriculum which will allow us to start them at the right stage for their needs. We will share our assessment with you and your child to make sure that everyone is happy with the plan and then get to work! We offer a free trial lesson and assessment for every new client, which is a 30-minute session.
